At Threads4Good, we tackled two pressing challenges: children missing school during monsoons due to a lack of bags and India’s growing textile waste crisis. Our solution was simple yet impactful—upcycling discarded textiles into school bags for underserved children while creating livelihoods for marginalized communities, including widowed women and the specially-abled.
As Co-founder and CTO, I led efforts to repurpose over 3,000 KGs of textile waste into functional, sustainable school bags. This initiative not only reduced environmental impact but also supported education and empowered workers from socially excluded groups. Through partnerships and innovative solutions, Threads4Good positively impacted over 2,600 children by provided them with school bags- their lifelines, and raised awareness about sustainability and textile waste.
My interview at the Threads4Good factory with one of our workers- Hema Ben. We converse about her work here at Threads4Good, how it benefits her and her family. We also discuss how she feels about working towards this incredible cause.

I led one of Gujarat's most successful TEDx events, which drew over 200 participants and featured eight inspiring speakers with help of a team of 40 volunteers . I ensured the event was financially self-sufficient by acquiring sponsorships, hence covering all expenses.
The theme, "Radical Reforms," focused on transformative ideas with the potential to reshape current systems. I personally managed website design, marketing, speaker curation, and financials to deliver a seamless and impactful experience that is sure to leave a mark on the AIS community.
When I began to investigate the high dropout rates in public schools around the 8th grade. The kids were generally disinterested in STEM subjects which became a barrier in their academic journey.
Resolved to act, I collaborated with Manav Gulzar. It is an NGO located in the slum community of Ram Rahim No Tekra in Baherampura, Ahmedabad. It is dedicated to helping students in these areas by providing facilities like food, education and also subsidizing their living expenses.
We worked with eight groups of 30-40 kids each weekend for three months over 2 summers at the Vikram Sarabhai Community science centre. Communicating the beauty and elegance of science, I showed how these concepts could be applied to make everyday life better. While conducting experiments with students in their last year of middle school, we built solar RC cars as well as food pyramids. Today, Manav Gulzar reports a 40% increase in the number of students in the group continuing education in high school as compared to previous y.
Awaaz, an event hosted by Sahatya Square, was dedicated to advocating for sanitation workers enduring hazardous conditions. I was part of the efforts that raised over 200,000 INR, providing protective gear to safeguard these workers from toxic waste. The event featured a powerful documentary and a compelling play, both aimed at raising awareness among over 100 attendees about the harsh realities faced by these communities, advocating for these workers.
